Community Response Program for Boating Ordinances

The Town of Spider Lake Board is seeking feedback on compliance with the Town’s boating ordinances.  You can help.  We are interested in gathering information on the date, location and type of boating ordinance infractions that may be occurring.  This program is intended to encourage compliance through communication and public education, while continuing to monitor the need for more active ordinance enforcement.

Two methods of community reporting have been set up:

  1. Send an email to:  [email protected]
  2. Leave a voicemail message at: 715-462-2129

This is a trial program for the remainder of the 2026 boating season.  It is not an enforcement program, and no follow-up to individual reports is planned.  To encourage participation, all information will be handled confidentially.  That is, the Board will not retain information about individuals or watercraft identified in a report, nor will the Board retain information on parties reporting ordinance infractions.

Data collected will be summarized and reviewed at Town Board meetings.

The existing mechanism for reporting ordinance issues remains open:  Contact the Sawyer County Sheriff at (715) 634-5213 during business hours or 911 after hours.
