Summer's here!

As we look ahead to the summer of 2026, we want to ensure a safe, enjoyable and respectful experience for everyone who spends time on our lakes.

The Town of Spider Lake has three ordinances regulating boating activity.

  • Waterskiing, Tubing and Jet ski Hours. Boating Ordinance 02-2024 (read here) establishes 11:00 am to 3:00 pm hours for waterskiing, tubing and jet skis on the Spider Chain of Lakes. At all other times, there is a 10-mph speed limit. 

    Watercraft on Teal Lake and Lost Land Lake have a 10-mph speed limit always.
  • Wake Enhancement After extensive research by a community advisory committee, the Town Board of Supervisors unanimously approved Ordinance 2025-01 (read here) on Oct. 29, 2025. This ordinance prohibits activities designed to create enhanced wakes on all lakes in the Town of Spider Lake.  

  • Slow No Wake. Ordinance 2026-1 (read here) was enacted on March 11, 2026, establishing a Slow No Wake Zone for the Connector between Lost Land Lake and Teal Lake. Buoys were placed this spring.

Our lakes are enjoyed by many, and these shared waters are an essential part of our community. We appreciate your cooperation in following these ordinances.
